Dr Rasmi is a Pediatric Hemato-Oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant specialist who joined the Pediatric Oncology department at HCG in 2015. She did her three year residency in Pediatrics from Texas Tech University, Amarillo, Texas (USA). Following this, she did three year fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and bone marrow transplant from Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital (Case Western Reserve University), Cleveland, Ohio (USA), Where she gained extensive experience in stem cell transplants for various pediatric diseases like benign blood disorders, solid tumors and hematological malignancies as well as immunodeficiencies and metabolic disorders. During her training, she also conducted research in methods to improve stem cell engraftment after a bone marrow transplant.
Dr Rasmi expertise and has keen interest on treating all the paediatric benign and all blood cancer diseases specially aplastic anaemia, sickle cell disease, thalassemia, acute leukemia , multiple myeloma, hodgkin’s and non-hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple sclerosis; myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative syndromes and other bone marrow failures cases.
