Dr. Vinayakumar’s primary areas of interest include breast oncology, neuro-oncology, gynae oncology, paediatric oncology, immuno-radiotherapy (I-SABR) and thoracic oncology.
He has hands-on experience working with conformal techniques like Intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), Volumetric-modulated arc radiotherapy (VMAT), Image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), motion management (deep breath-holding techniques in breast and liver),Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT).
His secondary interests include brachytherapy in cervical, endometrial and esophageal malignancies.
He is also trained in priming patients of stem cell transplant with Total body irradiation (TBI).
He is also experienced in managing patients in regular follow up managing toxicities of on-treatment patients, surveillance of patients post-treatment and addressing their needs helping in rehabilitation.
Dr. Vinayakumar has handled more than 3000 cases so far.
He secured 3rd rank in the university during his DMRT course.
He is a lifetime member of AROI.
Dr. Vinayakumar regularly takes part in research work and has many publications to his credit.
