This form of radiation therapy uses 3D imaging to direct the radiation beams in such a way that they conform to the tumor shape. 3DCRT benefits you with enhanced treatment precision, reduced side effects, and an overall comfortable treatment experience.
During IMRT, radiation beam intensities are adjusted to match the tumor's shape (contours). It reduces radiation exposure to healthy organs and tissues close to the tumor, leading to fewer treatment-related complications and a more favorable clinical outcome.
VMAT combines IMRT with continuous rotational delivery. Both the radiation beams and speed are adjusted to the tumor’s shape as the machine rotates around the patient. VMAT targets tumors precisely and helps patients complete their treatment in fewer sessions.
IGRT employs real-time imaging to monitor tumor position throughout treatment. IGRT remarkably treatment accuracy, minimizes damage to healthy tissues, and enhances the overall well-being of patients.
SBRT is recommended for localized cancers. SBRT helps achieve excellent tumor control with its superior tumor-targeting abilities. SBRT benefits patients with shorter treatment times, quicker recovery, and fewer treatment-related complications.
SRS is recommended for inoperable tumors in the brain and head regions. Since the radiation delivery is so focused and precise, healthy tissues are spared. SRS is especially helpful in treating small, well-defined tumors and certain neurological conditions.
When it comes to your treatment, we leverage state-of-the-art radiotherapy platforms to make sure that you receive the highest quality cancer care.
The TrueBeam radiotherapy platform offers sub-millimeter accuracy and personalized radiation care. It customizes radiation delivery for each patient, adjusting for even small movements like breathing, enhancing efficacy and safety in treatment. It is designed to deliver 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, and SRT.

Radiation therapy can affect the immune system, especially if the radiation is delivered to the bone marrow, whose key function is to produce immune cells. In such cases, patients don’t have to worry, as the immune system will start functioning normally sometime after the treatment.
In most cases, patients undergoing radiation therapy will be able to work. However, ample rest is necessary between sessions. Therefore, we recommend alternate work arrangements for a proper balance between your work and your treatment.
No, pregnant women cannot undergo radiation therapy, as the high-dose radiation may harm the baby. If you suspect pregnancy at any stage of the treatment, you must speak to your treating doctor; they will work on alternate treatment strategies for you.
Cancer treatments like radiation therapy, chemotherapy, etc., can reduce appetite. If you are experiencing severe appetite loss and weight loss, you can talk to your treating doctor or an onco-dietician for diet plans that can improve your strength during treatment.
After each radiation session, your body will need sufficient rest. You must avoid activities that cause fatigue and strain. Make sure to consume a balanced diet. Feeling exhausted during the treatment is normal, and therefore, you may also have to increase your calorie intake.
There is a very small chance that this treatment will cause secondary malignancies. However, regular follow-ups that will be scheduled after your treatment can help us reduce this risk for you. For more information on this, we suggest you talk to a specialist.
