  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to meet the company's sourcing needs and objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION (MAIN JOB TASKS)

  • Perform surgeries and other invasive procedures as per privileges and additional training
  • Perform Clinical examination and Outpatient consultations.
  • Order lab investigations and imaging tests for staging, prognostic evaluation and monitoring.
  • Admit patients under their care for treatment and evaluation.
  • Documentation of clinical notes such as History and physical examination, Cancer treatment plan, progress notes, treatment summary, consent forms, medication administration record, medication orders, operative notes, referral notes and transfers, discharge summary, death summary, OPD followup notes and prescriptions, Lab orders,investigation notes either in electronic format (EMR) or medical record forms.
  • Documentation of diagnosis, staging as per TNM and AJCC staging and Cancer treatment plan are mandatory.
  • Participation and referral of cases in multidisciplinary tumor boards for decision making.
  • To work as per the shift timings as per the shift timing as discussed with the management Perform invasive diagnostic procedures such as biopsies (needle, true cut or excision biopsies) image or non-image guided Insertion of indwelling access devices for systemic or regiona chemotherapy such as PICC lines, chemo ports etc.
  • Daily monitoring of inpatients, Conduct of ward rounds, counselling, monitoring progress and treatment of patients under their care.
  • Transfer and handover of patients from other departments or consultants.
  • Conduct of OPDs on designated days as determined by department HOD/Hospital Teaching and mentoring DNB students/fellow students /Interns in the said clinical specialty(where applicable) Monitoring and supervision of treatment delivery by duty doctors/ registrars in care of their patients.
  • Name, Date, Signature on all documentation done by the doctor in the patient’s medical record.
  • Ensure completeness of documentation in line with the hospital policy on documentation, Completion of deficiencies in medical record within 48hrs of being notified by the medical records department.
  • To take active part in research studies (Investigator Initiated Trials and or clinical trials)
  • To ensure that they have at least 2 publications/ abstracts in peer reviewed journals annually.
  • To take active part in conferences and CMEs and acquire required credit points as per the state medical council ·
  • To counsel and educate the patients and their families about their prescribed treatment, their risks, benefits, any alternatives in an honest and ethical manner.
  • To document all reports of the patients both from within and outside hospital in the patient’s medical record. · To ensure completeness and continuity of care documentation in the patient’s medical record and adhere to best documentation practices.
  • To have active follow-up of patients and document survivorship after completion of cancer directed treatment.
  • To take part in community outreach activities.
  • To take informed consent of the patients before any cancer directed treatment or procedure by explaining the procedure to the patients in the language that they understand.
  • To adopt best practices in clinical care as determined by the hospital policy from time to time
  • To take an active part in clinical audit, morbidity audit and mortality audits and ensure corrective and preventive action as per the audit findings.
  • Supporting and complimenting the marketing activities (National and international) undertaken by the Hospital administration and Marketing team ·
  • Supporting Hospital Administration in optimal patient care.
  • To evaluate the fitness of the patient before every surgery and referral of the patient to anaesthesia and cardiology/pulmonology team.
  • To attend to emergency patients immediately under their care.
