Introduction

Dr. Trinanjan Basu is a highly accomplished Senior Consultant and Head of Department in Radiation Oncology at HCG Cancer Centre, Borivali, Mumbai. With over 15 years of experience, he has treated 5000+ patients specialising in the treatment of diverse cancers, including head & neck, genitourinary, colorectal, lymphoma, bone & soft tissue sarcoma, and lung cancer. 

Area of Expertise

His expertise includes IMRT/VMAT for head & neck cancers and SRS/SBRT (>300 cases) for brain, spine, lung, and prostate cancers. Dr. Basu is skilled in PET-CT-based treatment planning and enhancing quality of life for patients. He is actively involved in professional societies like the Society of Genitourinary Oncology, GI Oncology Executive Committee, ASCO TECAG, and serves on the ASTRO Training and Education Committee.

He is the recipient of Neil Joseph Award for an observership program held at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

He received the ESTRO Mobility Grant from the Institut Gustave Roussy (iGR), Paris to take part in a clinical rotation at iGR, Paris and the Orsay Proton Therapy Centre.

He has received a travel grant and course at Cascais, Portugal for ESO-ESTRO radiation oncology masterclass, the ESMO translational research grant from the University of Vienna and the ESMO preceptorship travel grant from Zurich and Singapore.

Clinical observership in Prostate SBRT and Sarcoma Multidisciplinary management in sarcomas at National Cancer center Singapore in Dec 2018.
