Today’s patient success story is that of 59-year-old cancer champion Abdullah Waheed from the Maldives.
He was at HCG for his stomach cancer treatment, along with his nephew, Imadh Abdullah. Along with being happy about his successful treatment, he was amazed by the treatment experience he had when he was at HCG.

It all began with Abdullah Waheed experiencing severe abdominal pain and stomach-related issues that disrupted his daily life.
Concerned about his condition, he visited doctors in Malé, the capital city. The doctors suspected something serious. They feared it might be stomach cancer. For Abdullah and his family, this marked the start of a challenging and emotional journey.
After a detailed checkup, local doctors suspected a stomach tumor and advised Abdullah to consult cancer specialists for a clearer diagnosis and proper treatment.
The family began researching hospitals known for cancer treatment and came across HCG Cancer Centre in Bengaluru, India and learned more about its gastrointestinal oncology services.

After about six months of treatment and regular hospital visits, a follow-up PET scan confirmed the good news.
