Area of Expertise

  • Dr. Veena serves as the head of the histopathology and digital pathology department at HCG Cancer Centre, Bengaluru.      
  • Her specialisation lies in genitourinary pathology, GI pathology, soft tissue and bone pathology, Digital Pathology and computational pathology.
  • Dr. Veena has so far handled more than 90,000 cases.                               

Medical Breakthrough

  • Dr. Veena is an empanelled NABL lead assessor.   
  • She has played an instrumental role in the deployment of Digital pathology in the HCG network.
  •  Dr. Veena has over 23 publications indexed in national and international journals so far, and they include original articles, review articles and case reports.     
  • She is the academic in-charge for postgraduate course in Pathology and Fellowship course in Tumour Pathology.
  • She is actively involved in clinical research some of which are in AIML.
