Dr. (Gp Capt) V V S Prabhakar Rao has three decades of experience in the field of nuclear medicine, PET-CT and radiodiagnosis.
Dr. Rao has worked as Senior Adviser - Nuclear Medicine at Army Medical Corps, Professor of Nuclear Medicine at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, and has worked at multiple reputed cancer hospitals.
Dr. Prabhakar Rao has treated numerous thyroid cancer patients with radioiodine and has designed high-dose radioiodine therapy wards in army establishments, state institutions and tertiary cancer hospitals.
His core interest lies in maximising radioisotope usage with low exposure to patients, public and radiation professionals.
Dr. Rao has handled more than 4100 cases so far.
