Dr. Ashay Shah

Dr. Ashay’s primary interest lies in the management of oral / mouth cancer: biopsy-diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical management – resection of complex oral cancers such as tongue, cheek, lip, palate, tonsils, etc.            

He is also an expert in performing reconstruction of cancer defects (plastic surgery) - bony & soft tissue microvascular reconstruction such as 3D jaw reconstructions.

He is also experienced in the surgical management of cancers of salivary gland, paranasal sinuses, oropharynx, etc.            

Dr. Ashay is also trained in the management of oral sub-mucous fibrosis and other premalignant lesions/conditions, along with the management of benign tumours of head and neck region.        

Dr. Ashay has handled more than 3000 cases so far.                                                  

Dr. Ashay is invited as a faculty speaker at various local and national conferences.

He is also an active participant of the Head & Neck Disease Management Team at HCG Aastha Cancer Centre, Ahmedabad. This multidisciplinary team of specialists include head & neck surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, radiologists, maxillofacial prosthodontists as well as plastic & reconstructive surgeons. 

Dr. Ashay is also actively involved in training the fellows/trainees & conducting research projects at the institute. 

He conducts regular educational events for doctors on recent advances in oncology.   

He was selected for the very prestigious IFHNOS International Fellowship at the world’s most reputed cancer hospital - Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA
