Dr. Jayanti Thumsi is a celebrated breast cancer specialist in Bangalore and has 24 years of experience exclusively in breast oncology. She completed her MBBS and MS (General Surgery) at Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, and holds advanced certification in Robotic Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy from Taiwan.
She is the first surgeon in India to have performed and institutionalized Robotic Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy with TiLoop implant reconstruction. Over her career, she has performed more than 8,900 breast surgeries. She works alongside medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, physiotherapists, and counselors as part of a multidisciplinary approach to each case.
In 2014, she co-founded the CREST Foundation, a registered non-profit focused on breast oncology research, public education, and patient support. She also leads STHREE, a survivor support group of over 950 breast cancer patients and caregivers. She has conducted more than 357 breast awareness and screening camps across Karnataka, reaching over 6.58 lakh women.

● Her clinical focus is on oncological precision combined with preservation of form and function, which, for women with breast cancer, often matters as much as the surgery itself. She is one of the very few surgeons in India with an exclusive full-time commitment to breast oncology.
