Area of Expertise

Dr. Kaustubh is a seasoned surgical oncologist, and his expertise lies in thyroid-parathyroid-salivary gland surgeries and organ-preserving surgeries for mandible (jaw) & larynx (voice box), including TOLS (Trans Oral Laser Surgery) in complex situations.
He also has experience in performing robotic surgeries for the management of oropharyngeal, laryngeal & thyroid tumours.
Dr. Kaustubh has a special interest in performing surgeries for thyroid & parathyroid tumours as well as salivary gland tumours.
He attends about 2400 cases every year.

Dr. Kaustubh has won many awards for the best presentation & best paper at several national and international conferences including UICC.
He is the Founder Secretary of G-SHNO (Gujarat Society of Head & Neck Oncology).
He has also served as the President of FHNO (Foundation of Head & Neck Oncology).
He has also published the world’s first Coffee Table Book on Head & Neck Cancer Winners known as “10/10” and public awareness book in Gujarati ‘Tame Ekla Nathi’.
Dr. Kaustubh is regularly invited to national & international conferences as a speaker and a panellist for symposia.
Dr. Kaustubh Patel is a recipient of numerous prestigious national & international orations.

Dr. Kaustubh has received advanced training in Head & Neck Oncology under ISHNO (Indian Society of Head & Neck Oncology) Fellowship from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre (MSKCC), New York, USA.
He has also received Trans Oral Robotic Surgery (TORS) training from Dr Weinstein at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, USA.
He has received Transoral Laser Surgery (TOLS) training under Dr Peretti at University of Brescia, Italy.
