Introduction

Dr. Manjunath N. M. L. is a Surgical Oncology Consultant with more than two decades of training and practice across some of India's leading cancer surgery programs. He operates across head and neck, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, breast, soft tissue, urogenital, and thoracic oncology. 

His academic credentials include an MBBS, an MS (General Surgery), and an MCh (Surgical Oncology), all obtained from highly reputable medical institutes. Additionally, he has completed his specialty training in Surgical Oncology from the IRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi. 

During his training at AIIMS, Dr. Manjunath was involved in approximately 1,600 major oncological procedures as a first assistant or as an independent surgeon under supervision. He also holds certifications in both FMAS and DMAS (minimally invasive and robotic surgery) from the World Laparoscopy Hospital, Gurugram, where he was the topper of his batch. 

Before HCG, he held consultant and academic positions at Narayana Health (Mysore), HCG Panda Cancer Hospital (Cuttack), and Manipal Hospitals (Bangalore).

  • Dr. Manjunath is a Senior Surgical Oncologist whose practice spans a wide range of solid malignancies, with particular depth in head and neck surgery, gastrointestinal oncology, and soft tissue tumors. Patients may visit HCG Cancer Hospital, Hebbal, a dedicated cancer hospital in North Bangalore, to consult him.  

  • He is trained in endoscopic procedures relevant to oncology, upper GI endoscopy, bronchoscopy, nasopharyngoscopy, cystoscopy, and colonoscopy, and can perform guided interventions including PEG insertion and esophageal dilatation.  

  • Dr. Manjunath’s key areas of specialization include: 

  • Composite resections for oral cavity cancers with regional and free-flap reconstruction 

  • Thyroidectomy, neck dissections, mandibulectomy, maxillectomy, and craniofacial resections
