Introduction

Dr. Samir Batham is a senior consultant in radiation oncology at HCG Cancer Centre in Ahmedabad. He specialises in advanced radiation treatment techniques and brachytherapy. In addition, he has a special interest in head and neck cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, and genitourinary cancers. Dr. Samir is highly experienced, having attended over 600 cases per year. He has also trained at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world, including All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, Rigs Hospital in Copenhagen, and University of Heidelberg in Germany.

Dr. Samir Batham is a senior consultant – radiation oncology practising at HCG Cancer Centre, Ahmedabad.
He specialises in modern and advanced radiation treatment techniques like IGRT, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, conformal radiotherapy and brachytherapy.
Dr. Batham's special areas of interest include head and neck cancers, gastrointestinal cancers and genitourinary cancers.
He has performed many interstitial and intracavitary brachytherapy procedures.
Dr. Samir attends over 600 cases every year.

Medical Breakthrough

He was awarded the prestigious travel grant award at the annual conference of the Federation of Asian Organisation of Radiation Oncology (FARO), held in Shenzhen, China.
Dr. Samir has been honoured with invited lectures at various national conferences.
He is also actively involved in postgraduate teaching and training.
Currently, Dr. Samir is serving as the secretary of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India - Gujarat Chapter.
